Charitable Donations

We love our customers and our local community.  I estimate that we receive requests weekly for donations and contributions to support local organizations.  Schools, theater programs, musical programs, libraries, houses of worship, sports programs, health organizations, graduation celebrations, farms, nature centers, medical research, community centers, camps.  Each organization may feel they are making a small ask but it has become overwhelming.  Our margins just don't allow us to continually give away merchandise.

In lieu of donating cash, gift cards or products, we offer the fundraising partnership described below for non-profits.  If you work with a 501(c)(3), we would be happy to host a collaborative evening event which raises funds for your cause in the following way:

We will open after-hours for a private shopping event from 7 to 9 pm on a weeknight evening that we mutually agree upon.  Blue Star Bazaar will provide staff and refreshments.  Your organization has the option of selling tickets to the event and shoppers will receive a discount on their purchase as an incentive to attend.  OR, you can allow free attendance and a portion of sales during the event will be donated to your organization.  Minimum attendance for event is 6 people.
